Beverly Atkins

Beverly Dorlene Atkins, 88, of Chillicothe, Missouri passed away Thursday, February 4, 2021 at her home surrounded by the people she loved and loved her.

Beverly was born February 1, 1933 to parents Dorland Ross and Lillian Blessing Scott. She was a Chillicothe High School graduate. She married Cecil Lee Atkins on September 21, 1951 at the First Baptist Church in Chillicothe, Missouri.

She was a member of Phi Beta Kappa a life long member of the First Baptist Church of Chillicothe and a member of WMU. Some of her favorite things to do were playing cards, dancing, sewing, crossword puzzles and traveling.  Her favorite times were spent sharing time and love with her family.

Beverly is survived by her Children, Patricia White of Atlanta, Georgia; David Atkins of Chillicothe; Barry Atkins of Locust Grove, Georgia; grandchildren, Chanelle Graves of Kansas City; Jessica Brake of Hamilton; Amanda Lupercio (Jesse) of Independence; Tiffany Sanchez (Gaston) of McHenry, Illinois; Brittany Muhlenkort (Craig) of Beaumont, Texas; Cecily White (Tim Schriefer) of Chattanooga, Tennessee; 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Dorland and Lillian Scott; husband, Cecil Atkins; daughter, Christine Atkins Johnson; great-grandson, Scotty Fee; siblings, Nancy Yerger and Edward Scott.

Calling hours will be Monday, February 8, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 pm. at Heritage Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church in Chillicothe February 9, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Funeral Services will be held at First Baptist Church in Chillicothe, Tuesday February 9, 2021  at 1:00 p.m.

Burial services will be held at Edgewood Cemetery in Chillicothe.
