Annielee Grace Williams “Grammy”, 80, of Chillicothe, MO passed away Friday, February 28, 2014 at her home, under the care of her family and St. Luke’s Hospice.
Annielee Williams was born April 4, 1933 in Wheeling, MO the daughter of Elmo Gordon Burton and Melvia Lucille Seek Burton. She was a graduate of Chillicothe High School.
On January 12, 1965 Annielee married Donald Everett Williams in Sedalia, MO. He survives of the home.
Annielee worked at the glove factory in Chillicothe, and was a cook and caregiver for Peter Pan Center which later became Livingston County Developmental Center.
Her husband Donald “Poppy” built a special sunroom on their home just for Annielee to grow her favorite plants and flowers Grammy and Poppy especially enjoyed spending time with the entire family there.
She was a member of Soul’s Harbor Church of God
Annielee is survived by her husband of 49 years, Donald Williams of the home; two daughters, Carolyn Batson and husband Danny, and Nita Emmons and husband Bobby all of Chillicothe; a brother Richard Emmett Burton of Chillicothe; five grandchildren, Danny E. Batson of Roger AR, Tammy Posey of Trenton MO, Emily Asher of Chillicothe, Billy Emmons of Chillicothe, and Erica Baker of Chillicothe; 14 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmo and Melvia Burton; 3 brothers, Everett, Jewell and Harry Burton; and granddaughter, Sarah Jenkins.
Memorials in honor of Grammy Williams may be made to the Anderson-Smith Cemetery Maintenance Fund and left at the cemetery or mailed to Heritage Funeral Home, 3141 N. Washington, Chillicothe, MO 64601. On line condolences may be left at www.heritage-becausewecare.com
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Anderson-Smith Cemetery, Chillicothe, MO 64601.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe, MO.
Arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe MO.
