Betty McKerrow McCort

Betty Louise McKerrow McCort , 85, a resident of Livingston Manor, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe.
Betty was born March 1, 1930 in St. Joseph, MO the daughter of James Henry Berry and Clara Mae Noah Berry.
She worked as a seamstress at Boss Glove Factory and at Lambert Glove Factory. She also helped her first husband Buell on their farm and enjoyed helping to raise pigs.
Betty married James Earl McCort on November 19, 1988 at the First Christian Church in Chillicothe. He preceded her in death on December 4, 2015.
She attended Utica Baptist Church and did a lot of beadwork for the church to send on missions to Honduras and she also liked to crochet blankets for her family.
Betty is survived by daughters, Marsha (Tom) Moore of Utica, MO and Janet St. Onge of Trenton, MO; step-son, Phil (Daylynn) McCort of Tulsa, OK;  grandchildren, Josh (Sarah) Moore, Aaron Moore, David Moore, Wade (Brooke) St. Onge, Brian (Janelle) St. Onge, Stacie O’Bryan, Chad (Stephanie) O’Bryan, and Amy Ashford; 7 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Scherry McKerrow; an infant great great granddaughter; a sister Ruth Burnham; and brothers, Floyd, Lee, William, Rolland, James and Wayne Berry.
Memorials may be made for the Wheeling Shelter House and left at or mailed to Heritage Funeral Home, 3141 N. Washington, Chillicothe MO 64601. Online condolences may be left at www.heritage-becaussewecare.com
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe.
Burial will be at Wheeling Cemetery, Wheeling MO.
A visitation will take place 1 hour prior (1:00) to the service on Saturday.
Arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe MO.
