Betty Ann Wimmer Truesdell 77, of Chillicothe, MO passed away Thursday, January 5, at her home under the care of her family and Hedrick Medical Center Hospice.
Betty Ann was born April 3, 1934 on a farm near Avalon, Missouri to Russell Lee Wimmer and Ruth Gladine Akerson Wimmer. She attended Avalon High School and enjoyed 4-H and hoped to become a home economist. She graduated from Chillicothe Business College in 1952.
Betty married Carroll L. Truesdell on December 4, 1955 at the First Baptist Church in Chillicothe. He survives of the home.
In addition to being a homemaker Betty held several positions in Chillicothe as a secretary or bookkeeper. She retired from Mo. Public Service which later became Empire Gas.
Betty was a member of The Free Methodist Church in Chillicothe where she served as past secretary.
She was an avid quilter, crafter and enjoyed baking and spending time with family and friends. She kept in touch with her friends, children and grandchildren on face book and email.
Betty is survived by her husband, Carroll; daughter Beth Truesdell of Linclon, NE; sons Steve (Gina) Truesdell of Chillicothe and Dan (Rhonda) of New London IA; seven grandchildren, Christy Detty, of NE, Mark (Sunny) Detty of Linclon, NE, Nate Detty of Omaha, NE, Morgan Gabrielson of Chillicothe, Zac Truesdell of Kansas City, Dustin (Kelsey) Truesdell of Fort Hood, TX, and Matt Truesdell of Iowa City, IA; six great grandchildren Malachi, Collin and Liam Detty, Litton Gabrielson, Izzy and Jackson Truesdell; one brother, Norman (Judy) Wimmer numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 2;30 p.m. on Monday, January 9, 2012 at Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe
Burial will be at Avalon Cemetery, Avalon, MO.
A visitation will be held from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 8, 2012 at Heritage Funeral Home.
