Bonnie Dean Spencer, 78, of Chillicothe, MO died peacefully Saturday, December 18, 2010 at North Kansas City Hospital. She will be remembered by many in different ways, but mostly for her humble and caring heart, beautiful sense of humor, and infectious laughter. She was born September 15, 1932 in Richmond, MO. Bonnie graduated from Manual High School, Kansas City, MO in 1951. She married Ted Spencer in 1953, and settled in Chillicothe during the early 60s to raise their family. Bonnie worked as a Nurse’s Aide at Hedrick Medical Center until she retired in 1992, and was a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her father, Lee Ross; husband, Ted Spencer; brother, Kenneth Ross. She is survived by her mother, Burla Lilley of Independence, MO; brother, Charles Nickerson of Independence, MO; sister-in-law Margaret Ross of Lincoln, MO; children, Brenda Evans and her husband Joe of Gallatin, MO, Marsha Dotson and her husband Michael of Lathrop, MO, and Sandy Hart and her husband Roger of Chillicothe, MO; step-son, Teddy Spencer and his wife Enid of Lee’s Summit, MO; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Bonnie had an overwhelming love for her family, and a dedication equal in intensity. A visitation will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, December 21 at Church of Christ, 308 Elm Street, Chillicothe, MO, funeral services following at 11 AM.
