Carolee Sweem

Carolee Ann Sweem (Fitzpatrick), 80, of Hamilton, Missouri passed away at Hillcrest Manor January 16, 2021 under the care of Three Rivers Hospice and her family.

Carolee was born September 19, 1940 in Chillicothe, Missouri to parents Arthur Bud and Opal Irene Palmer Fitzpatrick. Carolee was a 1958 graduate of Breckenridge High School, she played the clarinet and was a proud member of the basketball team. She married Jerry Sweem on November 1, 1963 in Miami, Oklahoma. She worked several years as a paralegal for Dan Purty In Osceola, Missouri.

She enjoyed traveling with Jerry to Texas and Arizona for winters away, music performances, picnics, family get togethers, hearing Jerrys music and singing. She was also ornery and loved to play joke on her friends.

Survivors are her husband, Jerry Sweem of the home; sons, Jamie Sweem of Bethany; Craig Sweem and wife Jennifer of Hamilton; grandchildren, Samantha Sweem of Saint Joseph; Cody Sweem of Cameron; Cady Sweem of Warrensburg; great grandson Jace; niece, Marylin Hobbs; nephew, Wesley Pool; Great nephew, Kevin McRae.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Opal Fitzpatrick: sister, Francis Pool.

Visitation will be held at Heritage Funeral Home Wednesday, January 20, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Memorial Service will take place at a later date.
