Carroll Truesdell

Carroll LeFever Truesdell, 90, of Chillicothe, Missouri passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Hedrick Medical Center surrounded by his family.

Carroll was born January 6, 1931 to parents George Walter and Madis Mae LeFever Truesdell in Chillicothe, Missouri. He was a 1951 graduate of Chillicothe High School. Carroll entered the United States Air Force in 1951 and proudly served until 1955. He worked as a meat cutter at many local grocers and owned Carroll’s Market for thirteen years.

Carroll was a member of the United Methodist Church, American Legion Post 25 and the Peppy Pomanders square dancers. He enjoyed wood working, crafts and was a true animal lover. Family time was his greatest joy.

Carroll is survived by his children, Beth Truesdell of Lincoln, Nebraska; Steve Truesdell and wife Gina of Chillicothe; Dan Truesdell and wife Rhonda of New London, Iowa; grandchildren, Christy Detty; Mark Detty and wife Sunny; Nathan Detty; Morgan Gabrielson and husband David; Zac Truesdell; Dustin Truesdell and wife Haley; Matt Truesdell; great-grandchildren, Malachi; Colin; Liam; Litton; Greenly; Jack; Fallon; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Madis Truesdell; wife, Betty Truesdell; brothers, Charles and George; sisters, Hazel and Carrie.

Burial will be held at Avalon Cemetery following the Funeral Service.
