Charlene Clevenger

Charlene Elaine Clevenger, 80, of Chillicothe MO passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Indian Hills in Chillicothe.
Charlene was born July 12, 1935 in Chillicothe, the daughter of Lee Bolen Manning and Irene Fern Offield Manning. She was a graduate of Chillicothe High School.
She worked for several years at both Boss Glove and Midwest Glove Factory. She also did in-home care for several years.
Charlene enjoyed wood carving, hiking and rock hunting, caring for the livestock on the farm and going for drives through the country.
She attended Olive Branch Baptist Church in Chillicothe.
Charlene is survived by her daughter,  Barbara Applebury and husband Tracy of Chillicothe; granddaughter, Teresa Ausberger and husband Matt of Stewartsvillle MO; grandson, Brent Applebury of St. Joseph MO; great grandchildren, Audri, Gwen and Elaina Ausberger; two sisters, Charlotte Manning of Chillicothe and Betty Anderson and husband Ron of Grandview MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Vernon Manning and Donald Manning.
Memorials in honor of Charlene Clevenger may be made to the Grand River Multi Purpose Senior Center and left at or mailed to Heritage Funeral Home 3141 N. Washington, Chillicothe MO 64601. On line condolences may be left at www.heritage-becausewecare.com.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe MO.
A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service (10:00 a.m.) on Saturday.
Burial will be at Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe MO.
Arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe Missouri.
