Clara Pollock

Clara Elizabeth Pollock, 96, of Chillicothe MO passed away Monday, March 30, 2015 at The Baptist Home under the care of her family and St. Luke’s Hospice.
Clara was born November 11, 1918 in rural Livingston County, the daughter of Charles Augustus Dowell and Della Katherine Wills Dowell.
On September 10, 1938, Clara married Gerald Addison (Bob) Pollock. He preceded her in death on June 5, 1982.
Clara was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting and made quilts for each of her grandchildren. The grandchildren were the light of her life and making Sunday dinner for the entire family was one of her greatest delights.
She was a member of Mt. pleasant Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Kathy Summers and a son, Charles Pollock (Shirley) both of Chillicothe; 15 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; a brother, Scott Dowell of Anderson CA; several nieces and nephews.
Clara was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son; 5 brothers; 2 sisters; 1 grandchild and a son-in-law.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 3, 2015 at Brassfield Cemetery, Chillicothe Mo.
There is no scheduled visitation, but friends may call at the funeral home to sign the book.
