Clemons (Clem) Koenig

Clemons Albert Koenig (Clem) 85, of Chillicothe, MO passed away Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe.
Clem Koenig was bornMay 31, 1927 in Ritchey, MO the son of Alfred Koenig and Frances Catherine Graskemper Koenig.
He was a veteran who served in the United States Navy and was discharged in 1947.
On January 3, 1953 Clem married Loretta Hope Miller in Butler, MO. She preceded him in death on December 5, 2004.
Clem was a farm management specialist and was University of Missouri Extension Agent from 1960 until 1992. He was also the bookkeeper for the Hope Shoppe which he and Hope owned and operated in Chillicothe, .and he was a real estate agent for Gaslight Realty in Chillicothe.
Clem was a member of St. Columban’s Catholic Church in Chillicothe.
He is survived by five children, Chris Koenig and wife Melinda of Dawn, MO, Fran Meeker of Trenton, MO, Rick Koenig and wife Kate of Sedalia, MO, Julie Cooper of Columbia, MO and Mike Koenig and wife Elizabeth of Cameron, MO; eight grandchildren, Jared Meeker, Anna Ramirez, Gabriel Koenig, Edward Koenig, Ashley Cooper, Shane Cooper, Nicholas Koenig and Deryck Koenig; three step-grandchildren Dakota, Jocelyn and Loralei Brady; a great grandchild, Brayden Koenig; a brother, Clarence Koenig of Monett, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Hope; three brothers, Phillip, Paul and Bernard and a sister Agnes.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 3, 2013 at St. Columban’s Catholic Church, Chillicothe.
Burial will be at St. Columban’s Cemetery, Chillicothe, MO.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe.
