Donald Ray Manning, 72, of Chillicothe, MO passed away Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Cameron Regional Medical Center in Cameron, MO.
Donald Manning was born in Chillicothe, MO on March 14, 1939 the son of Lee B. Manning and Irene Fern Offield Manning.
He attended Chillicothe School and served in the United States Air Force.
Don was a member of Local Union 101 working as a heavy equipment operator for several area companies building highways and airports and large projects.
He was a member of Turning Point Church in Chillicothe, and was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting fishing and gardening.
Don is survived by three sisters, Charlotte Manning of Chillicothe, Charlene Clevenger of Chillicothe, and Betty Anderson and husband, Ron, of Grandview, MO; two nieces, Barbara Applebury and husband, Tracy, of Trenton, MO and Debra Burnett; nephew, Clint Manning and wife, Sue; great niece, Teresa Ausberger and husband, Matt, of Stewartsville, MO; great nephew, Brent Applebury of Stewartsville, MO; extended family, Debby and Ray Peel and family of Chillicothe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Fern Manning; brother, Vernon Manning; close friend and companion, Martha Figg.

There has been a cremation.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2011 at Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe, MO.
A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service on Monday.
There will be a private burial at a later date.
