Donald Everett Williams, 74, of Chillicothe MO died Friday, March 18, 2016 at his home, under the care of his family and hospice.
Donald was born December 26, 1941 in Wayne, Michigan, the son of Earl Everett Williams and Hazel Marie Reynolds Williams. After graduating from high school, he joined the United States Army and served from 1963 thru 1968.
On January 12, 1965, while he was on leave, he married Annielee Grace Burton in Sedalia, MO. She preceded him in death on February 28, 2014.
Donald retired from the Donaldson Company after 36 years.
He was a member of Soul’s Harbor Church of God and was a member of the UAW.
Donald (Poppy) enjoyed old tractors and nearly every year he and Annielee  (Grammy)would go to the Old Threshers Reunion in Mt. Pleasant, IA. The time they spent with their children and grandchildren was the highlight of their lives.
He is survived by 2 stepdaughters, Carolyn Batson and husband Danny, and Nita Emmons and husband Bobby all of Chillicothe; 5 grandchildren, Danny E. Batson of Arkansas, Tammy Posey, Emily Asher, Billy Emmons, and Erica Baker all of Chillicothe; 17 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; 4 nieces and nephews.
Donald was preceded in death by his wife Annielee; his parents, Earl and Marie Williams; 2 brothers, David Earl Williams and James (Jimmy Ray) Williams; a granddaughter, Sarah Ann Jenkins; and a great grandson, Nicholas Christian Asher.
Memorial donations may be made to Anderson Smith Cemetery and left at or mailed to Heritage Funeral Home, 3141 N. Washington, Chillicothe MO 64601. Online condolences may be left at www.heritage-becausewecare.com .
A Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Anderson Smith Cemetery, Chillicothe MO.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 21, 2016 at Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe.
Arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe MO.
