Donna Thomas

Donna Faye Thomas, age 81, a resident of Avalon, Missouri, passed away at North Kansas City Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri on Sunday, March 27, 2022.

Donna was born on April 11, 1940, at home, in Braymer, Missouri, the daughter of Dennie Delbert Anderson and Violet LeVon (Fields) Thompson. She was a 1958 graduate of Tina-Avalon School. She was married to Floyd Junior Thomas for many years and remained close friends.

Donna enjoyed crafting, bird watching, fishing, her dog Lola and most of all she loved family time. Donna was a caregiver and farmer’s wife most of her life.

Donna is survived by her grandson Jacob Thomas McCracken and wife Laura of Dawn, Missouri; Great-granddaughter Reata Mae McCracken of Dawn, Missouri; Brother Dewayne Anderson and wife Susan of Braymer, Missouri; Sister Beverly Simpson and husband Benny of Chula, Missouri; several nieces and nephews.

Donna is preceded in her death by her parents, Daughter Debra Kay (Thomas) Peterson, Grandson Caleb Troy McCracken, Brother Victor Delbert Anderson and Nephew Garrett Wayne Simpson.

Memorial Services will be held at Grace Chapel Church, Hale, Missouri on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at 2:00pm. There will be a dinner following the service at the Avalon Community Center, Avalon, MO. Burial will be held at a later date.
