Dorothy Lorraine Capps, 89, of Chillicothe, MO passed away Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Morningside Nursing Home in Chillicothe.
Dorothy was born July 12, 1924 in Sturgis, MO the daughter of Spurgean and Charlotte (Hert) Crowe.
On September 5, 1942 she married Ray (Doc) Nelson Capps.
Dorothy retired from Morningside Nursing Home in 2004.
She was a member of Chula Baptist Church.
Dorothy enjoyed cooking and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Ronald Capps and wife Mary of Humphreys, MO and Dean Capps and wife Rhonda of Tina, MO; a sister Marjorie Wright of Gallatin, MO; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; four brothers, Harold, Orville (Pick), Virgil and Jerry Crowe; one sister, Bernadine Singleton; one daughter Linda Gates of California.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Heritage Funeral Home.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2014.
Burial will be at Plainview Cemetery, Chula MO.
Arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe, MO.
