Elizabeth Shanks

Elizabeth Lois Shanks, 94, of Leander, Texas formally of Dawn, Missouri passed away December 20, 2020.

Elizabeth was born March 11, 1926 to parents Robert Arthur and Mary Esta Wells Griffith in Dawn, Missouri. She married Reverend John C. Carroll and he preceded her in death. During this marriage three children were born, Sara Elizabeth, John Clinton and Alice Ann. Elizabeth was a public health nurse having a Registered Nurse degree. She was employed at IBM Corporation for 25 years.

Her love for gardening and flowers helped her become a very talented flower arranger.

Elizabeth is survived by her children, Sara Elizabeth Carroll of Paradise, California; John Clinton Carroll of Fremont, California; grandchildren Jordan and Lindsay; sisters, Geraldine Owens; Elda Augustine.

She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Mary Griffith, husbands, Reverend John C. Carroll and Lee Shanks; daughter, Alice Ann Carroll.
