Elsie Acree

Elsie Lorrine (McCracken) Acree, 97, of Chillicothe passed away Monday, November 9, 2020 at Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe.

Elsie was born June 8, 1923 to parents William Ora and Elizabeth “Lizzie” (Lineville) McCracken in Blue Mound Missouri. Elsie married Glen Clifton Acree Sr. on January 28, 1943 he passed away November 4, 2011. Elsie was a homemaker and raised nine children.

Elsie liked to travel, the Campers Club, the Boat, visiting Branson, and visiting friends and family in California. She enjoyed her time spent with family.

She is survived by her children, Ora Paul Acree Sr. and wife Kathy of Chillicothe; Reverend Glen Clifton Acree Jr. and wife Debra of Chillicothe; Larry Dean Acree of Excelsior Springs; Gary Ray Acree and wife Vicki of Centralia; Rita Diane Nibargar and husband Jerry of Chillicothe; James Lee Acree and wife Shelia of Chillicothe; several grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Elsie was preceeded in death by her parents, William and Elizabeth McCracken; husband, Glen Acree Sr.; children, Roberta Summers; Elizabeth Sickler; Bruce Acree; grandson, Edward Acree; sister, Lelah Thomas; brother; Lloyd McCracken.

Visitation will be held Sunday, November 15, 2020 from 6: 00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  at Heritage Funeral Home in Chillicothe.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 16, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Chillicothe.

Burial will be held at Blue Mound Cemetery in Dawn, Missouri
