Gary Gordon Jenkins, 72, of Wheeling MO passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at his home in Wheeling, under the care of his family and St. Luke’s Hospice.
Gary was born August 13, 1942 in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Gordon Owen Jenkins and Edith Kathleen Engleman Jenkins Hale.
On April 20, 1962 Gary married the love of his life for 53 years, Patsy Sue Simpson in Hickory MO. She survives of the home.
Gary worked for 24 years as a welder for Dean Machinery in Chillicothe.
He was a member of Alpha Baptist Church.
Gary’s most special moments were spent with his wife, children and grandchildren. He had a special nickname for every one of his grandchildren. Gary also enjoyed taking care of his yard and was an avid coon hunter, and was a member of the NRA.
Gary is survived by his wife, Patsy Sue Jenkins of the home; three sons, Gerald Gordon Jenkins (Shirley), Craig Steven Jenkins and Randall Dwayne Jenkins (Lisa); a daughter Kathleen Louise “Suzy” Jenkins-Rick (Steve); 8 grandchildren , Brandy Sue Jenkins-Barclay (Jarod), Matthew Gordon Jenkins (Michelle), Patsy Nichole Crowe-Kasey (Tim), Derek Lee Jenkins (Gina), Billy Robert Jenkins, Kelsey Louise Rick-Martin (Jacob), Tessa Kathleen Rick, and Scotta Dawn Jenkins; 15 great grandchildren; a sister Vicki Jenkins-Marrs (Jerry); sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Shauneen and Ernie Denton, sister-in-law Wanda Sickler, sister-in-law Marsha Locke, brother-in-law, Richard “Bud” Stuver; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, George Hale; great grandson, Parker Lee Steven Hinnen: an infant brother, Darrell Jenkins; and a stepbrother, George Wesley Hale.
