George Dee Berry

George Dee Berry, 66, of Chillicothe MO, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017 at his residence.
George was born in Lock Springs MO, the son of Ocal Floyd Berry and Jewel Frances Evans Berry. He attended Lock Spring Schools.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1970 thru 1972, earning the rank of E-5.
George was a diesel mechanic and in the past worked for Hinnen Hauling and the Chillicothe Fire Department.
On April 6, 2007 he married Josie Berrier at his residence on Chillicothe. She survives of the home.
He enjoyed fishing, yard work, barbecues, and spending quality time with family and friends. He often frequented the Coffee Shop.
George is survived by his wife, Josie of the home; children, David (Kristy)Berry, Tina (Jeff) Peterson, Shelly (Kirk Greaves) Ballard, Brandi (Gene) Reid, Katie Worman, and Aaron Luckey; Grandchildren, Christopher Peterson, Jacob Peterson, Ashlay Berry, Kayleb Berry, Brandyn Berry, Colton Berry, Hailey Reid, Mason Briner, Bryson Briner, Colbi Stottlemyre and Mindy Jennings; great grandchildren, Landyn Peterson, Wyatt Berry, Piper Peterson, Harper Jennings, , and Ella Peterson; sisters, Carolyn Keller, Ann Stinson, Jewell Canaan and Peggy McCoy; brothers, Gene Berry and Butch Berry; several nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents; Brothers Jimmy Berry and Richard Berry; sister, Linda Real; son in law Blake Briner; grandchildren, Zachary Peterson and Sheyanne Reid; and first wife, Sherry Berry.
Memorials in honor of George Berry may be made to Josie Berry to help with expenses
A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 919 Easton St. in Chillicothe.
There will be a private burial.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.  at Heritage Funeral Home in Chillicothe.
Arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe, MO.
