Georgia Lower

September 23, 1928 — February 17, 2019

Georgia Jean Lower, 92, peacefully passed away Sunday, February 17th at 7:20 PM. She battled bravely against pancreatic cancer for the past 6 months.  She died at her home in Chillicothe, Mo. with friends and family in attendance.

Georgia has been a standing member of Grace Episcopal Church in Chillicothe, since moving with her now deceased husband Kenneth to Missouri over 30 years ago. In her 30 years in Missouri, Georgia has maintained her friendships from Wisconsin as well as establishing many loving friends here in Missouri.

Georgia was born on September 23rd, 1928 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Her parents, Alfred and Verona Bilder, had emigrated from Europe as children.  Georgia was a first born twin. Her twin brother James had passed away years ago as had her second oldest brother Thomas. She is survived by her youngest brother Allan and her only sister Susan.  Georgia met Kenneth in Milwaukee, on a double date and was married to Kenneth on April 23rd, 1949. She became the mother of 4 children. Her first born was a girl stillborn. Her Eldest son Ronald passed away 6 years ago.

She is survived by her second eldest son Thomas Lower of Hubertus, Wisconsin; her youngest son Robert Lower (Dawn) of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin;   two grandchildren, Nathan Sczepanski-Lower (Ronald's son) and Ashley Lower (Robert's daughter).

Many heartfelt thanks to Georgia's close friends Mitchel, Georgia, Teri, Reese, Chris and Aylona. They have been extremely supportive and steadfast especially through these past 6 months. Georgia was always outgoing and made friendships a key part of her life. She loved to shop, garden, drive her car and do things for others.  She loved sports and was a true Green Bay Packers fan to the end. Her second favorite team were the KC Chiefs.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Heritage Funeral Home of Chillicothe, Mo.  Georgia will be interred into the crematory garden of Grace Episcopal Church in Chillicothe on April 7th 2019 along with her recently deceased companion dog Webster. Sunday services will occur at 9:00 AM followed by the internment. There will be a memorial get together and meal afterwards in the church hall. Any memorials in honor of Georgia should be made to Grace Episcopal Church of Chillicothe, Mo. or to the Chillicothe Animal Shelter.
