Gilbert Russell Dominique, 88, a resident of Indian Hills, Chillicothe, formerly of Ludlow, MO passed away Friday, April 26, 2013 at Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe.
Gilbert was born in Utica, MO on November 6, 1924, the son of Charles Dominique and Opal McCoy Dominique. He was a graduate of Utica High School.
Gilbert married Emily Jean Ragan on September 13, 1999 in St. Joseph MO. She survives of the home in Ludlow.
As a young man, Gilbert worked for Mike Clark’s Grocery in Utica and also for the Midland Brick and Tile in Utica. For many years Gilbert was a turkey farmer, supplying the meat packing industry.
Gilbert is survived by his wife Emily of Ludlow, MO; two sons, Gilbert Russell Dominique, Jr. of CA, and Robert Dominique of FL; two daughters, Gayle Decker of AZ and Nikki Dominique of MA; two half-sisters, Barbara Swab of Platte City MO and Sandra Quigley of MN; six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Kim and half-brother, Billy Boorn.
At Gilbert’s request he was cremated and no service was held.
Arrangements were under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe, MO.
