Glen Clifton Acree, Sr. 91, of Mooresville, MO died Friday, November 4, 2011 at Livingston Manor Care Center, Chillicothe, MO.
Glen was born October 14, 1920 in Meadville, MO, the son of Paul Acree and Ella Blanche Lahman Acree and attended Chillicothe High School.
He was a World War II Veteran, serving in the United States Army in the European, African and Middle Eastern Theaters of Operation. He served from November 1944 thru June of 1946.
On January 28, 1943 Glen married Elsie Lorrine McCracken in Chillicothe. She survives of the home.
Glen worked for four years for Penny Farms before entering the service. He farmed in the Springhill area for several years until purchasing a farm in Mooresville, where for more than twenty years he raised turkeys, sometimes as many as 50,00 in a year.
He was a member of American Legion Post 25 of Chillicothe
Glen is survived by 8 children, Ora Paul Acree, Sr. (Kathy) of Gallatin, MO, Elsie Roberta Summers (Ralph) of Chillicothe, Rev. Glen Clifton Acree, Jr. (Debra) of Chillicothe, Beth Sickler (Gene) of Chillicothe, Larry Dean Acree, Sr. of Excelsior Springs, MO, Gary Ray Acree (Vickie) of Centralia, MO, Diane Nibargar (Jerry) of Chillicothe and James Lee Acree (Sheila) of Chillicothe: many grandchildren and great grandchildren; a sister, Enid L. Boyd (Raymond) of Olathe, KS; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Bruce L. Acree in 1981; and 8 brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe.
Burial will be at Blue Mound Cemetery, Blue Mound, MO.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at Heritage Funeral Home.
