Gordon Livingston

Gordon Gene Livingston, 69, of rural Chillicothe, MO passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at his home, under the care of his family and  Hedrick Medical Center Hospice.
Gordon was born March 1, 1942 in Chillicothe, the son of Howard N. Livingston and Iris McGinity Livingston.
He was a 1960 graduate of Chillicothe High School.
Gordon was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the United States Army from February 1964 thru February 1966.
On October 19, 1968 Gordon married Shirlene Jacobs in Chillicothe. She survives of the home.
He worked for several businesses in the Chillicothe area, including Staton Service, Cooke Sales and Service and Churchill Truck Lines. He also worked for Allied Systems in Claycomo, MO.
Gordon was a fan of auto racing and enjoyed working in his shop, but  his greatest enjoyment came from helping others and spending time with friends and family.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Shirlene Livingston; daughter Cristina Livingston of West Des Moines, IA and a son, Jerad Livingston of Meadville, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials in honor of Gordon may be made to Hedrick Medical Center Hospice or Cancer Treatment Centers of America and left at the funeral home or mailed to Heritage Funeral Home, 3141 N. Washington, Chillicothe, MO 64601.  On line condolences may be left at www.heritage-becausewecare.com .
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 11, 2011 at Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe.
Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, MO
A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Heritage Funeral Home.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 12:00 noon on Thursday.
Arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe, MO
