Hattie Hazel Tharp, 90, of Breckenridge, MO died Saturday, August 25, 2012 at her home.
Hazel Tharp was born November 4, 1921 in rural Mercer County near Cainsville, MO, the daughter of Byron Booth and Winnie Avis Harper Booth.
On January 21, 1941 she married Wilbur Hadley Tharp in Trenton, MO.
Hazel was a homemaker and enjoyed a “farmer’s wife”
She was a member of the Breckenridge Baptist Church and was very active in church activities. She taught the Girls Auxiliary for many years and enjoyed taking the girls on field trips.
Flower gardening and feeding hummingbirds were among her favorite activities and she also enjoyed beating her family at games of hand & foot and pitch.
Hattie Hazel Tharp is survived by her son William Tharp of the home; four siblings, James Booth of Trenton, MO, Harold Booth and wife, Ethel of Trenton, Lawrence Booth of Chillicothe and Margaret Barnett and husband, Elmer of Breckenridge; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter, Janice Mae and six siblings, Juanita Lugenbeal, Doyle Booth, Lucille Rosson, Clifford Booth, Darold Booth and Franklin D. Booth.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Breckenridge Baptist Church, Breckenridge, MO.
Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Breckenridge, MO
A visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Heritage Funeral Home, Breckenridge, MO.
