Helen Lucille Anderson, 97, of Chillicothe MO passed away Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Indian Hills in Chillicothe.
Lucille Anderson was born August 11, 1918 in rural Dekalb County near Maysville MO. She was the daughter of Willard Hall Lollar and Bessie Adra Walker Lollar.
She was a graduate of Lock Springs High School and became a member of the Christian Church at a very early age and a member of First Christian Church of Chillicothe in April 1973. She was also a member of American Legion Auxiliary No. 25 of Chillicothe.
Lucille was united in marriage to Vencil Arnold Anderson of Lock Springs on October 6, 1940 in Gallatin, MO at the home of Rev. D.O. Richardson. Vencil preceded her in death in December 1988.
During the time her husband was in the service, Lucille worked in the Veterans Administration office in Washington D.C.
They spent most of their married lives in the Lock Springs and Jamesport area before moving to Chillicothe in 1950.
Lucille enjoyed working puzzles and puzzle books. She also liked sewing for her family and spending family time together.
Survivors include a grandson, Chris Anderson (Stephanie) of Chillicothe; two great grandchildren, Olivia and Ethan Anderson of Chillicothe; two sisters, Mildred Hoch of Chillicothe and Dorothy Booth of Jefferson City, MO; a brother, F. Wayne Lollar of Excelsior Springs, MO; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vencil; son, Bill Anderson in 2005; daughter-in-law Debbie Anderson in 2015; 3 brothers, Harold Lollar, William Lollar and an infant brother; two sisters, Velma Eads and Lulu Mae Lollar.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in honor of Lucille be made to Heritage Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses and left at or mailed to Heritage Funeral Home 3141 N. Washington Chillicothe MO 64601.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Heritage Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe.
A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service (12:00 noon) on Wednesday, February 10, 2016.
