Jimmy Lewis Durham, 84, of Chillicothe, Missouri passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021, at home under the care of his family.
Jimmy was born July 4, 1936, to parents Lewis and Reba Durham in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He graduated from Fort Smith High School and attended Junior College for two years. On December 23, 1957, Jimmy married the love of his life, Gayle Anne Price in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
He worked for several years at Churchill Truck Lines in the sales department. To Jimmy, his career was being a Missionary, serving the Lord in Haiti and sharing the word of the Lord to all who would listen.
In Jimmy’s spare time he enjoyed making ink pens, painting, and woodworking.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Gayle Durham; children, Stephanie Herron of Chillicothe; James Durham and wife Raeleen of Lebanon; Scott Durham and wife Aimee of Lebanon; the tremendous ten plus one, ten boys and one girl he raised as his own in Haiti; grandchildren, Jacob Herron; Benjamin Herron; Charity Coonce; Matthew Durham; Andrew Durham; Jonathon Durham; Nathaniel Durham; Sarah Durham; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Reba Durham.
