John David Horn

          John David Horn Sr. 58, of Chillicothe MO. passed away in Chicago, ILL. on March 26, 2024. He was born on April 26, 1965 in Richlands, VA. To Herman Arthur Horn and Katherine Louise Wilson (Horn). John married Retta Darr on January 30, 2016 in Chillicothe, MO.

          John loved to go hunting, fishing, 4 wheeling, playing cards, working around the house, gardening, barbequing, and spending time with his family. He attended Upper Room Ministries. He worked for Brotherton Trucking as a over the road driver and had driven truck many years.

           He is survived by his wife Retta, two sons, Benjamin Nelson Horn and wife Katrina of Germany, John Horn Jr. and Melody Carden of Maryland two daughters, Tamra Smith and husband Josh of Omaha, NE and Rose Horn of Chillicothe, MO. Four Grandchildren; Kenneth Nelson, Isabella Smith, Nicholas Smith, and Alexander Smith. Five brothers, Douglas Horn, VA. Robert Horn and Elizabeth of Silver Springs, MD. Stephen Horn and Rita of Mays, IN. Samuel Horn, VA. And Jackson Horn of VA.  three sisters, Pat Horn of VA. Janet Collins and Greg of Pilgrims Knob, VA. Tamula Talbert and Christian of Nineveh, IN.

          He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Pamela Horn and Granddaughter Maria Nelson.

Services for John Horn Sr. will be Wednesday April 3,2024 at 1:00 pm at Heritage Funeral Home with a visitation before at 11:00 to 1:00pm. Burial at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Chillicothe.
