Lawrence Joseph Forck Sr. of Chillicothe, MO passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at his home in Chillicothe.
Lawrence Forck Sr. was born September 7, 1931 in Jefferson City, MO the son of Lawrence Emil Forck and Anotia Catherine Evers Forck. He was a graduate of Westphalia High School, Westphalia, Mo.
Lawrence married Mary Frances Bloss on October 6, 1951. She preceded him in death on November 6, 2002.
He worked as a route driver for Hostess Baking Company and after retirement worked for HyVee in Chillicothe.
Larry was a member of the First Christian Church in Chillicothe and in his younger years was in the church softball league. He enjoyed bowling and he was very active in the Little Theater in Chillicothe, where he built many sets, was a property manager and even directed some productions.
He is survived by a son, Lawrence Forck Jr. and wife, Linda of Chillicothe ; two daughters, Cheryl Wood and husband  Jerry of Chillicothe and Jean Lanahan and husband Joe of Lee's Summit MO; 5 grandchildren, Daniel Forck, Melody Munson, Julie Forck, Larissa Forck and Ryan Ellis; 8 great grandchildren; a sister, Norma Driskill of Hazelwood, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Mary.
There has been a cremation.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the First Christian Church and left at the funeral home or mailed to Heritage Funeral Home, 3141 N. Washington, Chillicothe, MO 64601. On-line condolences may be left at www.heritage-becausewecare.com .
Memorials services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, January 19, 2013 at the First Christian Church, Chillicothe, MO.
There will be a private burial.
There is no scheduled visitation. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday and Friday from 9a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
