Lester Leroy Hicks 67, of Chillicothe passed away, Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Mosiac Life Care in St. Joseph, MO.
Lester was born June 27, 1947 in Chillicothe MO, the son of Raymond Leroy Hicks and Hazel Harvey Hicks.
On September 19, 1982 Lester married Doris Lee Cowee at Simpson Park in Chillicothe. She survives of the home.
For several years Lester worked on a bridge gang for the Milwaukee Railroad. He also worked for Moore Monument and as a roofer and house painter.
Lester enjoyed fishing, hunting (especially coon hunting) and playing pool. His most enjoyable time was spent with his family.
He is survived by his wife, listed above; daughter, Michelle Rawls; 5 step daughters, Sherry Henley, Sheila Turner, Sandra Munson, Jackie Bowyer, and Laura Price; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; 2 nephews, Billy Fred Hicks and Wilbur Gene Hicks; niece, Reeca Underwood and many other nieces and nephews.
Lester was preceded in death by his parents; a sister and three brothers.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Heritage Funeral Home.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service on Thursday.
There was a cremation and a private burial will take place at a later date.
