Lois Taylor

Lois Jean Taylor, 88, of Columbia, Missouri passed away, June 9, 2021 at Cedarhurst Senior Living in Columbia, Missouri.

Lois was born April 21, 1933 to parents Iro and Lucille (Lux) Cothern in Wichita, Kansas. She was a 1951 graduate of Chillicothe High School and later graduated from Chillicothe Business College. She married Edgar Taylor May 14, 1955 in Moberly, Missouri. Lois retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company.

Lois was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church and the Telephone Pioneers Of America. She enjoyed playing cards and several other games. Lois loved spending time with her family.

Lois is survived by her son, Gary Taylor and wife Robin of Columbia; grandchildren, Natalie Taylor of Columbia; Matthew Taylor and wife Claire of Columbia; Alex Taylor of Columbia; 5 great-grandchildren, brother, Ray Cothern and wife Ann of Chillicothe; nephew, Chris Cothern and wife Barbie of Chillicothe; niece, Julie Condron and husband Aaron of Chillicothe; 3 great-nieces, 1 great-nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Iro and Lucille Cothern; husband, Edgar (Ed) Taylor; daughter-in-law, Amanda Taylor.

Visitation will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Heritage Funeral Home in Chillicothe, Missouri.

A Funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Heritage Funeral Home in Chillicothe, Missouri.

Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Chillicothe, Missouri.
