Lydah Lafolette

Lydah Ann Lafolette, 48, of Chillicothe, Missouri passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2020 in Chillicothe, Missouri.

Lydah was born July 9, 1972 to parents Donnie Ray and Marilyn Kay (Ross) Lafolette in Trenton, Missouri.

Lydah Ann left us November 11, 2020.-Veterans Day which is fitting because she loved her country and those who serve.

She loved her family and friends more than anything. Her life was full of giving and love.

The words that describe her are fierce, loyal, big hearted, lion hearted, bossy, brave, determined, stubborn, hardworking, proud..... So proud that she could do things that everyone said she couldn’t. What a mistake!

Her most recent accomplishment was her job with the Department of Corrections as a cook. She was a good cook. Her specialty was chicken and noodles.

She wasn’t the kind of person to say goodbye. She would instead say see you later.

Lydah is survived by her daughters, Destiny Loucks; JoAnn Hartley and husband Warran; grandchildren, Jacob Moss; Dustin McGraw; Riley Lafolette; Iyla Graham; Carson Billington; Aiden Hartley; Chloe Hartley; Mallory Hartley; Mallory Hartley; mother, Marilyn Marshall; sister, Mari Wheeler and husband Harold.

Lydah was preceeded in death by her father Donnie Lafolette; daughter Elizabeth Lafolette, granddaughter Shanon Jeanoutot- Lafolette; brother, Shannon Lafolette.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Celebration of life at 11:00 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Chillicothe, Missouri.

Burial will be at Half Rock Cemetery in Half Rock, Missouri, in Mercer County.
