Margaret Helen Jones, 93, of Chillicothe, formerly of Dawn, MO passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2016 under the care of her family and St. Luke’s Hospice, at Morningside Center in Chillicothe.
Margaret Helen was born March 4, 1923 in Dawn MO, the daughter of Luther Williams and Katherine Jane Hughes Williams. She was a 1941 graduate of Dawn High School and a graduate of Chillicothe Business College.
On May 20, 1944 Margaret Helen married the love of her life for 67 years, Paul Hardin Jones. He preceded her in death on October 18, 2011.
Margaret Helen worked at Producers Creamery in Chillicothe and worked for the Census Bureau in 1970. She was a homemaker most of her life and helped Paul on the farm.
She was a member of Dawn Baptist Church and was the clerk of the Linn-Livingston Baptist Association for over 30 years. She also taught Sunday school and played the piano for church.
Margaret Helen enjoyed singing and playing piano for weddings, anniversaries, and funerals. She also liked sewing, gardening, reading and spending time with her family.
Her survivors include a son, Gordon Jones of Dawn, MO; three daughters, Linda Powell and husband Richard of Lee’s Summit, MO, Joyce Callahan and late husband, Cliff of Chillicothe, and Juanita Assel and husband Doug of Dawn, MO; 14 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; and 2 nieces.
Margaret Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul; son-in-law, Cliff Callahan; a brother, Handel Williams and a sister Lucille Setter.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, November 11, 2016 at Dawn Baptist Church, Dawn, MO.
Burial will be at Welsh Cemetery, Dawn, MO.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. On Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe.
Arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe MO.
