Margie Eileen Banks, 87, formerly of Avalon, MO, died Friday, January 25, 2013 at the Springfield Rehab and Health Care Center in Springfield, MO.
She was born March 13, 1925 in Chillicothe, MO to Paul and Etha Barnhart of Avalon Mo.
Margie graduated from Avalon High School in 1943 and attended the Chillicothe Business College in 1943 and 1944. On July 7, 1944, she married Ralph Edwin (Buzz) Banks.
Margie was a legal secretary and worked in the law offices of Robert Frith, Kenneth Lewis, and Robert Pyatt in Chillicothe and later worked for Blue Cross and Blue Shield in St. Louis, MO.
She is survived by Rick Banks (Darella), and Phil Banks (Cathy) of Kimberling City, MO, and Paula Sue Kille (Tim) of Benton Harbor, MI; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Heritage Funeral Home in Chillicothe.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 28, 2013 at Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe.
Burial will be at Avalon Cemetery, Avalon, MO
