Marion "Doc" Albrecht

Marion “Doc” Walter Albrecht, 78, of Jamesport, MO, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2016 at his home, under the care of his family and St. Luke’s Hospice.
“Doc” Albrecht was born May 6, 1938 in Gallatin, MO the son of John David Albrecht and Leola May Jones Albrecht. He was a graduate of Gallatin High School.
He was a veteran, serving in the United States Army from February 1961 thru February 1964 and achieving the rank of Spec 4.
On December 16, 1977 Doc married Bonnie Louise Wilson in Chillicothe. She preceded him in death on September 30, 2013.
Doc worked in construction, building houses and barns. In later years he transported the Amish in the Jamesport area.
He was a member of the Edinburg Baptist Church and was faithful in reading his Bible every day. He enjoyed helping others and spending time with his family.
Doc is survived by two sons, Jay and Robert; two daughters, Lou and Lori; 13 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and two sisters, Martha Sue and Jetty.
Memorials in honor of Doc Albrecht may be made to Heritage Funeral Home to help the family with funeral expenses and left at or mailed to 3141 N. Washington, Chillicothe, MO 64601.
A cremation has taken place and the burial service will be held December 10, 2016 at 12:00 Noon at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Chillicothe, MO.
Arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe MO.
