Marjorie Louise Parks, 79, of Chillicothe passed away Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe.
Marjorie was born in rural Livingston County near Springhill, MO, on September 2, 1936, the daughter of Ora E. Searcy and Sarah Irene Cooper Searcy. She as a graduate of Chillicothe High School and Chillicothe Business College.
She married Ray Bethards and then Marjorie married Donald M. Parks and he preceded her in death in January 2016.
Marjorie was the lead checker and bookkeeper at the A&P grocery store in Chillicothe. Donald and Marjorie were owners of Grand Builders which had been in business since 1966.
She enjoyed sewing, flower gardening and traveling, but most of all she treasured the time spent with her family.
Marjorie is survived by two daughters, Joni Walker (Mike) of Chillicothe and Cheryl Bethards of St. Joseph, MO. Grandchildren, Melanie Jordan (Tyler), Michael Walker, Kyle Bethards and Josh Bethards; great grandchildren, Eric Walker and Gabriella Ellis; brother, David Searcy (Claudia) of Shawnee KS; sisters, Lois Adams of St. Charles, MO and Doris Whited of Chillicothe; sister-in-laws, Carolyn Barnett of Trinity TX, Linda Meirgard (Clarence) of Chillicothe and Cheryl Coleman (Larry) of Shelton WA; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Ray Bethards and Donald Parks; son, Steven Bethards; step son, John Parks; two brothers, Ellis Eugene Searcy and Lloyd Searcy; two sisters, Mary Grace Searcy and Rita Rinehart.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Heritage Funeral Home in Chillicothe
Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe;
A visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2016 at Heritage Funeral Home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home Chillicothe MO.
