Melissa Dawn Taylor Lopez, 35, of Denver CO passed away on February 1, 2013 at her residence in Denver.
She was born October 19, 1977 in Kirksville, MO the daughter of Robert Henry Taylor and Cynthia Ann Booth Taylor. She attended Kirksville Schools.
Melissa married Walter Lopez in Iowa and they later moved to Denver. He survives of the home.
She enjoyed being a homemaker and had several hobbies such as painting, any type of artwork and especially liked to watch butterflies in the Spring and Summer.
Melissa is survived by her parents, Cynthia Taylor of Trenton MO and Robert Taylor of Idaho; three sons, Damion Woods of Winston MO, Devion Keithley of Trenton MO and David Puckett of Trenton MO; a brother Michael Taylor of Chillicothe; a half-sister, Brandy Taylor of Chillicothe; grandmother, Venita Jerome of Kirksville MO; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Virgil Taylor.

There has been a cremation.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on March 16, 2013 at Heritage Funeral Home in Chillicothe MO.
A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
There will be a private burial.
