Mildred (Millie) Mae Gordon, age 95, formerly of Chillicothe, passed away January 12 in Branson West, MO. Surrounded by her family.
She was born August 3, 1921, in McIntosh, SD, to Claude Orville and Cora Mae Adcock Musick. She married Donald Francis Gordon March 1, 1942. Together they owned and operated Gordon’s Home for Funerals in Chillicothe. Millie was a member of the United Methodist in Chillicothe and a beauty consultant for Merle Norman Cosmetics for many years.
She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; a brother, James Musick and sister-in-law, Norma; nephew, Gordon Musick and wife Gale. She is survived by her children, Karen Lee Gordon, Nixa, MO, and James (Dee) Gordon, Branson, MO.; grandchildren Laura Lee (Steve) Gayfield, Ginger Summerville, Eric (Melissa) Summerville, Stefanie (Clint) McKoy and Kyle Gordon; great-grandchildren, Scott Gayfield, Darby Summerville, Landon and Ashton Summerville, Kolby McKoy and Jaymis Brooks.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe MO.
A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service (1:00 p.m.) Saturday, February 11 at Heritage Funeral Home.
A Private Family Burial will take place at Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe.
