Myron Joseph “Joe” Wiedmier - Age 85, of Taylor, Texas passed away March 18, 2023 at The Rose Assisted Living in Round Rock, Texas. Joe was born September 26, 1937 in Braymer, Missouri to Jewell and Violet (Hamblin) Wiedmier. He married Darlene Miller on June 21, 1959 at Dockery Baptist Church north of Richmond, Missouri.
Joe graduated from Braymer High School in 1955. He owned and farmed land in the Braymer area. Joe also worked as a home builder for many years. He served as a deacon at the First Baptist Church in Braymer, at Hopewell Baptist Church in Cowgill, and First Baptist Church in Taylor, Texas. His hobbies included fishing and competing in bowling tournaments.
In 2012, Joe and Darlene relocated to Central Texas to be closer to their daughters. They were active members of the First Baptist Church in Taylor, Texas.
Preceding him in death was his father, Jewell, mother, Violet, and brother, Leonard Wiedmier. Survivors include: daughters, Alana Stump (Randy) of Tomball, Texas and Machelle Barnes (Gregg) of Round Rock, Texas; granddaughter, Rebekah Barnes of Round Rock, Texas; grandsons, Caleb Barnes of Georgetown, Texas, and Jared Stump (Allison) of Yardley, Pennsylvania; great-granddaughters, Danica Barnes, Allison DiCarlo, and Natalie Stump; brothers, Jewell Wiedmier (Carol) of Braymer and Jerald Wiedmier (Barbara) of Braymer; sister, Lois Null (Donald) of Grant City, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Braymer, on March 25, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Wakenda Cemetery.
