Orrin Torrey

Orrin Dale Torrey, 76, of Chillicothe, Missouri passed away Sunday September 15, 2019 at Indian Hills in Chillicothe, Missouri.

Dale was born in Half Rock, Missouri to parents Orrin Keith Torrey and Leotta Mae Wilson Torrey on January 10, 1943. He retired from the Air National Guard and the Missouri Department Of Transportation, working as an inspector. He married Louise Whitaker Eyler on February 26, 1995 at the Mount Olive Methodist Church in Chillicothe. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and Eagles Lodge and Mount Olive Church.

He was a Cowboy at heart. He enjoyed farming, raising calves, caring for his horses, county music and dancing.

Dale is survived by his wife Louise; daughters, Stephanie McBee and husband Brad of Bucyrus, Kansas; Kimberly Hilbrenner of Carrollton, Missouri; step daughters, Cheryl Gore and husband Terry of Florida; Linda Gall and husband James of Liberty, Missouri; six grandchildren, 11 step grandchildren, and several great grandchildren, siblings, Sam Torrey and wife Louise of Iowa; Fred Torrey and wife Edna of Texas; Ricky Torrey and wife Teri of Humphreys, Missouri; Darlene Routon of Alabama; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Keith Torrey; Christina Marquis; Theresa Torrey; step sons, William C. Eyler and Garrett L. Eyler.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, September 18, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, September 19, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home.

Burial will take place at Princeton Cemetery in Princeton, Missouri following the funeral service.
