Otis “Junior” Monroe Ireland, 61, of Utica, MO passed away Friday, November 22, 2013 at Liberty Hospital in Liberty MO.
Junior Ireland was born July 12, 1952 in Chillicothe MO the son of Otis M. Ireland Sr. and Ola Alma Juanita Merryfield Ireland He was a 1970 graduate Chillicothe High School.
On November 4, 1972 Junior married Linda Jeane Dykes at Utica Baptist Church. She survives of the home.
In 1983 Junior began working with his father, Otis, at Ireland Advertising and Electric in Chillicothe.
He was a member of the Community Baptist Church, Utica MO and Green Township Trustee. He was also President of the Utica Cemetery Association and a former member of the IBEW Local 545.
Junior loved spending time with his grandchildren, and great nieces and nephews who knew him as Papa/Uncle JuJu.
He is survived by his wife Linda of the home; son, Dwain M. Ireland and wife Amy of Chillicothe and their children Dane Daniel Ireland and Abigail Maxine Ireland; his father, Otis M. Ireland Sr. of Chillicothe MO; sister, Alta Sharon Scholl of Liberty MO; mother-in-law Maxine Dykes of Utica MO; brothers and sisters-in-law Lee and Marcia Dykes, Keith and Sue Wheeler, Leslie Dykes and Patricia Minnis, all of Utica MO; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; great nieces and nephews.
Junior was preceded in death by his mother, Ola Alma Juanita Ireland and father-in-law, Lawrence Dykes.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe, MO.
Burial will be at Utica Cemetery.
Family visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 25, 2013 at Heritage Funeral Home.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
