Patricia May Arthaud died at her home in Trenton, Missouri, January 30. 2018. She was born in Berkeley, California, April 27, 1943, daughter of William Clarence and Juanita Marie (Seratt) Garrett. She married Fred Lee Arthaud in Pagedale, Missouri, January 27, 1963. Dr. Arthaud retired in 2002 from the faculty of North Central Missouri College.
She is survived by her husband: three children: David Lee Arthaud and his daughters, Chloe Marie Arthaud and Anna Rose Arthaud, Moscow, Idaho; Rebecca Ruth Ruddock, and her two children Garrett Leslie Ruddock and Skylar Elise Ruddock, El Paso, Texas; And Jason Daniel Arthaud and his wife Julie Janee (Crow) and their children Moira Payton Arthaud, Renich Liam Arthaud, and Levi Benton Arthaud, Cody, Wyoming. Also her sister, Carol Phillips and husband Bill, Springfield, Missouri, their daughters Cynthia Cordes and Dana Smith; brother, Dan Garrett and wife Beth (Becker), of Buffalo, Missouri, their daughter Jenna Derringer and son Matthew Garrett ;sister-in-law Abigail Arthaud, Trenton; and brother-in-law Bradley Arthaud and his wife Sally, San Antonio, Texas, daughters Victoria Arthaud, Catherine Rabinovich, and Gwynneth Dykyj.
Pat graduated from the College of Education, University of Missouri- Columbia, in 1965. She and Fred moved to Tindall, Missouri in 1968 where they lived for five years before building their home in Trenton. They have resided there since 1973 except for two years in Pocatello, Idaho.
She was the pianist at the First Baptist Church, Trenton, for over 20 years and later at the Grace Fellowship Baptist Church, Trenton. She also taught piano lessons in her home for several years. She taught Sunday School and with her husband was co-director of the Bus Ministry Program for the First Baptist Church.
A devoted wife and mother she enjoyed gardening, playing games, especially Chinese checkers, and entertaining family. She readily quoted Scripture as she knew the Bible thoroughly.
A memorial service is scheduled at the First Baptist Church, Trenton, Missouri at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2018.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Baptist Children’s Home, 11300 St. Charles Rock Road, Bridgeton, MO 63044, or the Jewett Norris Library, Trenton.
