Ralph Ervin Wheelbarger, 78, passed away at Wright Memorial Hospital, Trenton, Missouri surrounded by his family on April 4, 2017. Ralph was born at home on January 17, 1939 to William and Imogene R. (Cooper) Wheelbarger Haynes in Dawn, Missouri. He graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1957. Ralph was employed at Lambert Glove Factory for thirty-nine (39) years. He later became employed and retired due to ill health from Crossroads Correctional Center where he was employed in the maintenance department.
On May 11, 1958 Ralph was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Bigelow at the Presbyterian Church at Chula, Missouri. He is survived by his wife Pat, daughter Jennifer Miller and partner Danny Williams of Chula, Missouri; daughter Sherri Wheelbarger and partner Eugene McCann of Brookfield, Missouri; a grandson Adam Miller and wife Megan of O’Fallon, Missouri; granddaughter Tylee Wheelbarger of Chillicothe; granddaughter Abby Maher of Monroe City, Missouri; as well as great grandchildren Austin Dewey, Anna Dewey and Kerrigan Miller. He is also survived by his brother William Leon Wheelbarger and wife Christel of Cantonment, Florida and brother-in-law Clarence Rader of Gillette, Wyoming. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents and sister Louetta Rader.
Ralph enjoyed gardening as well as hunting and fishing with his friends, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
