Raymond Dale Jones, 74, of Chillicothe, MO passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at his home in Chillicothe, under the care of his family and St. Luke’s Hospice.
Raymond was born December 26, 1938 in Princeton, MO the son of Charles Edward Jones and Alma Dell Horn Jones. He was a 1956 graduate of Chillicothe High School
Raymond enlisted in the United States Army in November of 1956 and was a supply specialist. He attained the rank of Spec 4 and was discharged from active duty in November 1959 and from the Army Reserve in Nov of 1962.
Raymond worked as a dispatcher for several years for Churchill Truck Lines in Chillicothe.
One of Raymond’s greatest joys came from helping others and not letting them know that he was the one who helped. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching political shows on TV. His most special time were spent with his family and friends.
Raymond is survived by a son, Terry Jones (Terra) of Topeka, KS; two daughters, Sandra Barlow (Bobby) of Hale, MO and Kim Jones of Columbia, MO; five grandchildren, Cassie Murray (Dillon), Jennifer Proctor (Clark), Bobby Dale Barlow, Rachel Barlow, and John Taylor Haas; two great grandchildren, Reilly Proctor and Weldon Proctor; two sisters, Carol West of AZ and Gladys McCullough of Jefferson City, MO; nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Alma and an infant brother.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 18, 2013 at Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe, MO.
A graveside service with full military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Christison Cemetery, Dawn, MO
