Robert Elliott

June 15, 1941 — February 11, 2017

Robert Lee Elliott, 75, of Linneus, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, February 11, 2017, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born June 15, 1941, in Laredo, Missouri to William “Willie” Otho and Gladys Marie Thomas Elliott.

Robert was a wonderful -loving family man who enjoyed living on his farm.  He was married to Patricia Ann Bright on August 18,1963 and she survives of the family home.   He was extremely proud of his five children and their children.  There was not a day that he was not talking about how much he loved his family. He spent many years as a farmer and over the road truck driver for Churchill and ABF truck lines and was a proud Teamster member.  After retirement he worked for MO DOT for several years.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Daughter Dr. Sherri Thomas and husband Kent – Jefferson City, Sons; Rory of Holt,  Marty and Wife Francine- Lathrop, Clint and wife Andrea of Liberty, and Kyle wife Amy of Kansas City.  Granddaughters- Cheyenne and Morgan Elliott, Grandsons- Seth and Caleb Thomas, Taylor, Alex, Gabriel, Elijah, Jonah, Simon, Jude, Nathan, and Nicholas Elliott. Great-Granddaughter- Lillian Elliott.  Three step-grandchildren- Allison and Cameron Howell and Jayrn Van Acker.  Also, many other extended family, friends, and loyal dog Dagger.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his sisters – Caroline Sue Elliott and Margaret Sojka

The funeral services will be at Tuesday, February 14, 2017, 10:30 am at Meadville Baptist Church in Meadville, Missouri.  The family will receive friends and family on February 14, from 9:30 am  – 10:30 am at Meadville Baptist Church.    There will be no scheduled family visitation but friends may call on Monday, February 13, 2017 from 1:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Heritage Funeral Home in Chillicothe, Missouri.  Burial will be at Stucker Cemetery in Laredo, Missouri.

Memorial donations may be made in Robert’s name to the Meadville Baptist Church building fund or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
Arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe, MO.
