Rosa Lea Darr, 82, of Chillicothe, MO passed away Thursday, December 8, 2014 at Livingston Manor in Chillicothe.
Rosa Lea was born May 23, 1932 in Chillicothe, the daughter of Buel Dowell and Thelma Maxey Dowell. She graduated from high school in Tulare, California.
She worked for 15 years at MATCO in Chillicothe and she was a Stanley Home Products dealer for several years.
On October 2, 1952 Rosa Lea married Leland Richard Darr at Calvary Baptist Church in Chillicothe. He preceded her in death on August 12, 2011.
She was a member of Olive Branch Baptist Church, Chillicothe she enjoyed crocheting, sewing and spending time with her daughter.
Rosa Lea is survived by a daughter, Retta Susan Darr of Chillicothe; 4 sisters, Doris Trumbo of Columbia MO, Edith Hines of Avalon Mo, Mary Chaney of Brimson MO and Ruth Durnil of Columbia Mo; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Darr; and a brother, Francis Dowell.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe, MO.
Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Chillicothe.
A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service on Thursday.
