Roy Lee Flemming passed away Thursday, September 22nd, 2016 at Morningside Center.
Roy was born January 18, 1936 in Uniontown, PA to Milo and Hazel (Neese) Flemming. He attended Uniontown High School. He enlisted in the Army in 1956 and retired in 1979. He then worked for and retired from the Post Office in New Jersey. He then was a school bus driver and substitute teacher in New Jersey.
Roy married Gladys Marie Weitzel in March 1959 in West Point New York. They divorced in 1965. Roy moved to Missouri and remarried Gladys Weitzel in 2005.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys in 2014; his parents, brothers Milo Jr. and Ralph, and sister Ruth Ellen Winowich, son Robert Lee Flemming, daughter Cheryl Ann Buck and daughter- in- law Sandra Gannan Harris.
Roy is survived by children Michael Flemming and Brenda Buck of Chillicothe; stepsons Thomas (Christie) Rice of Wentzville, MO and Tim (Kim) Rice of Chillicothe, 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Also surviving are sister in laws, Peggy Flemming of New Port Richey Florida and Mary Frances Coberley of Chilllicothe, and brother-in-law Nicholas Winowich of Charleston West Virginia.
A private family burial was held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Chillicothe. Services were provided by Heritage Funeral Home.
