Ruth Schneiter

Ruth Aileen Schneiter, 90, of Meadville, Missouri passed away Sunday, June 20, 2021 at Livingston Manor, surrounded by her family.

Ruth was born in Kansas City Missouri, July 6, 1930 to parents Everett and Elva BeVelle. On October 28, 1948 she married Carl Lee Schneiter in Meadville, Missouri.

In 1967 Ruth started her career as a caregiver opening and operating Schneiter Boarding Home for thirteen years in Wheeling, Missouri. She continued her work caring for others well into the 1980’s. Ruth and Carl were dedicated foster parents for seventeen years.

Ruth volunteered several years for RSVP and was an avid pitch player.

Ruth is survived by her children, Catherine Brown of Meadville; Kenneth Schneiter and wife Kelly of Excelsior Springs; Joyce Cashatt and husband Terry of Brookfield; grandchildren, Ryan Brown; Aaron Brown; Ruthie Munsterman; Ariel Buhlinger; Kennedi Brown; Anastasia Porter; Cody Schneiter; Tyler Schneiter; Katherine Bailey; Logan Lisby; Bethany Cashatt; Jayla Cashatt; Riley Cashatt; sixteen great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; brother, Don BaVelle of Chula, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Everett and Evla BeVelle; husband, Carl Lee Schneiter; siblings, Raymond BeVelle; Doris Packham; Stanley BeVelle; Bill BeVelle; Ann Hansett; Gene BeVelle.

Calling hours will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.  Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Heritage Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Wheeling Christian Church in Wheeling, Missouri.

Burial will be at Wheeling Cemetery.
