Ruth Taylor

Ruth Nadine Oakes Taylor, 87 of Chillicothe passed away Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Morningside Center in Chillicothe.

Ruth was born on May 14, 1931 in Hutchison, Kansas, the daughter of James Oakes and Maude Shipp Oakes. She married Donald Lee Taylor July 22, 1948 in Chillicothe.

Ruth attended the Church Of Christ in Chillicothe. She loved singing church hymns and was an avid card player. Family time was important to Ruth and she loved playing with her grandchildren.

She is survived by three daughters, Jennifer Adamson (Roger) of Blue Springs; Julie Jones (Ross) of Chillicothe; Jayne Sivill of Chillicothe; Eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Donald Taylor; infant daughter, Susan Lee Taylor; son-in-law, Gary Sivill; two brothers and one sister.

A visitation will be held Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at the Church Of Christ in Chillicothe.

A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Church Of Christ in Chillicothe.

Burial will take place at Utica Cemetery in Utica, MO
