Shannon Michael Lafolette, 44, of Chillicothe, MO passed away on Friday, November 30, 2012 at the home of his father in Kansas City, MO.
Shannon was born October 26, 1968 in Princeton MO the son of Donald Ray Lafolette and Marilyn Kay Ross Lafolette. He was a graduate of Southwest High School in Ludlow MO.
He worked as a laborer for construction companies in Iowa and Missouri.
Shannon was a member of Immanual Lutheran Church in Trenton, Missouri.
He enjoyed camping, fishing, woodworking and spending time with friends and family.
Shannon is survived by his mother, Marilyn Marshall of Chillicothe; father, Donald Lafolette of Kansas City, MO; two children, Audrey Matthews of Chillicothe and Brandon Simpson of Chillicothe; three grandchildren, Serenity Dawn Simpson, Aislynn Burch and Aven Burch; two sisters, Mari Wheeler of Chillicothe and Lydah Cleveland of Brookfield, MO; two uncles, Steve Ross of Valley Center, CA and Michael Lafolette of Fayette, MO; 3 aunts, Connie Easton of KY, Jean Lewis of Springfield, MO and Kim Lafolette of Plattsburg, MO; nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
The family requests that memorials in honor of Shannon be made to Heritage Funeral Home to help with expenses.
There has been a cremation.
Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe.
There is no scheduled visitation.
A private family burial will be at Half Rock Cemetery, Half Rock MO.
