Shirley Pollock

Shirley Ann Pollock, 71 of Chillicothe, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018 at her residence in Chillicothe.

Shirley was born in Trenton, MO, on February 6, 1946, the daughter of George Wesley Goodman and Amanda Ellen Whitworth Goodman. She attended Sampsel School. Shirley was 16 when her father died and she went to work at Lambert Glove Factory to support the family. She also worked at the Chillicothe Tribune and Walmart.

On May 29, 1969, Shirley married Charles John Pollock at the residence of Rev. Clifton in Chillicothe. Charles preceded her in death on June 7, 2015.

She was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed puzzles, playing rummy, crafting, playing pitch, sewing and most of all, spending time with her family.

She is survived by a son, William Ray (Terrie Leigh) Pollock of Chillicothe; two daughters, Ellen Beth (Samuel William) Parrack of Trenton, MO, and Margaret Rose (Kevin John) Sullivan of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Christopher John Pollock, Dillon Thomas Parrack, Alex Michael Parrack, Amanda Parrack, Katelyn Breann Sullivan, and Colton John Sullivan; sisters, Margaret Elaine (Richard) Samm and Rosilee Pinkston; brother-in-law, Bill McClure; sister-in-law Edith Kathryn Summers; several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Fanny Maxine Sportsman, Betty McClure and brother Wesley Goodman.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe

Burial will be at Tolle Cemetery, Farmersville, Missouri

A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday.
