Walter Larry Meyers, 76, of Chillicothe MO passed away Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe.
Larry was born February 26, 1939 in Sumner MO the son of Charles William Meyers and Bessie May Milford Meyers. He was a graduate of Northwestern High School in Mendon MO.
For over 40 years he was a truck driver. He drove for Standard Oil and various other companies and retired after 25 years of car hauling for Allied Systems. He was a member of Teamsters Local 41.
On August 30, 1963 Larry married Charlene Jennings at the home of Reverend Akers in Chillicothe. She survives of the home.
Larry attended Life Point Church, Chillicothe MO.
He enjoyed fishing and working in the yard, but spending time with the grandchildren and great grandchildren was the center of his life.
Larry is survived by his wife, Charlene of the home; son, Larry “Buddy” Meyers and wife Becky of Wheeling MO; three daughters, Sherry Shockey and husband Mark, Brenda Kraus, Pam Thompson and husband Rick all of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Trevor (Megan) Meyers, Katie (Jon) Maples, Jill (Michael) McGinty, Sarah (Scott) Smith, Clint (Angela) Lewis, Tara Hamilton and Tim, Josh Kraus, Dustin (Gabby) Thompson, Cody Thompson and Kayla; 13 great grandchildren, Quinten Lewis, Logan, Lillian, Ella, Jacob, Lylah,, Leanna, Jack, Dennis , Tyler, Gavin, Kaylee and Elly; a brother David (Joyce) Meyers; sister, Jeanette Dysart; cousin Kenny Milford; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dale Meyers.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe.
Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Heritage Funeral Home.
